It’s the very last day of 2012! Although I usually feel like huge last hurrahs are purely setting myself up for failure, I always feel compelled to do them!
- I’m making a huge batch of Kraft mac-n-cheese for lunch. <— Processed and normal pasta last hurrah!
- I’m making a big pan of boxed brownies. <— Processed, regular flour, regular sugar last hurrah!
- I’m making baklava. <— More white sugar and some gluten-y phyllo dough.
- I’m making another batch of fudge. <— More sugar.
- And a batch of penuche. <— Even more sugar.
- And a few batches of cookies. <— Sugar and flour.
I know, I’m a weirdo. Most of these are treats I make for Christmas and just didn’t get around to them this year. I also still need to send gifts back home to CA…I’m woefully behind. Hopefully our relatives will forgive me! So these treats can get packed up and sent off, as soon as my family samples them. 🙂
My fridge and freezer are pretty well-stocked. Veggies for salads and juicing; healthy meats for dinners over the next week. I’ve got lots of eggs on hand for protein. I’m ready to GO PRIMAL!
As far as my no-spend January, I think I’m on track. I can’t think of anything we need, other than food, that I’ll have to buy. Of course things always come up, but I’m looking forward to every day that I can mark off as having successfully made it a no-spend day!
